Dr. Vijay Aggarwal is a seasoned management professional with over 40 years of experience, evenly divided between the US and India, in mentoring start-ups and re-engineering apparel supply chains, healthcare delivery systems, and higher education. He is known for his prowess in applied operation research, decision support systems, business analytics, systems modeling and simulation, production and operations management, supply chain and logistics management, operations strategy, and project management. An engineering graduate from IIT, Bombay, Dr Vijay did his M.S. and Ph.D. in Operations Research and Computer Science from the Case Western Reserve University (USA). His career includes a 15-year long tenure at the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, where he took up leadership and entrepreneurial roles in institution building while serving as Founding Dean of the innovative National Management Program and Senior Professor of Operations Management. He has undertaken several projects funded by NSERC, CIDA, USAID, UNDP, ESCAP and EU-Asia, has co-authored books like, Modernizing Organizations, Financing and Managing Projects: A Guide for Executives and Professionals, has served on the boards of IIM, Lucknow and MTNL, and has received a range of awards, honors and recognitions including editorial board roles on a few international journals.
